guinevere v. cartier Collected, calm, and calculating, General Cartier is a fierce sight to behold. She is twenty-seven years old and has seen and experienced a lot in her lifetime. From her fragmented childhood, time spent at an elitist boarding school, and participating in a covert genetics research program, Gwen is a woman who has taken her past to shape her own future. She sees the glaring faults of reality within the biome and has made it her mission to correct the follies of society. She aims to restore peace, humility, and equality within her lifetime. Gwen has a sharp wit and keen mind behind her quiet exterior, and tends to keep everyone at arms length. | |
friends | Since Gwen did not have a stable upbringing by any means, she does not have childhood friends, or school friends, or even family friends. She has a diverse array of acquaintances, however, but whether or not she maintains contact with those people is another matter entirely. Gwen is distrusting by nature, though her stance on wanting to bring about a revolution has made her especially wary of others. The people she is closest to are her fellow Squadron members, and even them she does not confide in. If anyone is ambitious enough to peruse friendship with this private creature, they would need to be extremely loyal and trustworthy. If someone is seen as a worthy companion by Gwen, and passes her strict judgement, they have surely made a fiercely protective and loyal friend and ally. It should be noted that Gwen's trust is difficult to gain and easy to lose, and she does not take kindly to those who take advantage or double cross her. |
enemies | With the exception of void inhabitants or the highest-ranking biome government officials, Guinevere does not have enemies per say. There is a long list of people she dislikes, especially within the lower sectors due to the corruption and the seedy civilians found in these areas. By the same token, there are likely a long list of individuals who dislike Gwen due to the elitist attitude and the righteous air that surrounds her. Overall, the General has a neutral attitude about most people she meets but her neutral - or even good - favour is lost following even a single inhumane act. Moreover, the General takes an immediate abhorrence to anyone who ridicules herself, her Squadron, or her tasks; and any enemy of her Squadron or Squadron mates is an enemy of hers as well. |
lovers | Guinevere has never had a deep affection for anything other than freedom in her life. Love is barely a word in the woman's vocabulary. Reminiscent of William Wallace in Braveheart, her current love is her cause and quest for liberation. Romance is not on the horizon for Guinevere, although stranger things have happened within the biome. Developing substantial platonic relationships and friendships is difficult; establishing an intimate, romantic connection with Guinevere is seemingly impossible. Guinevere is self-reliant and independent and does not have the time or patience for meaningless acquaintances. Any sort of love or companion would be serious and the man has to be her equal in virtually every capacity. |
