02. RULES

REQUIRED READ

To ensure everyone has the best experience on CLOSE YOUR EYES, we ask that all of our members follow the rules listed below. At the end of the day we are all here to have fun, don't forget that! Members are encouraged to talk to their assigned staff member if they encounter any problems.

PG-13 - This is a proboards rule, keep things from getting too graphic. Fade to black where necessary and don't go over the top when it comes to pushing the boundaries of this rule.

NO GODMODDING - We have an amazing statistic system, use this and be realistic. Everyone plays their own character so keep this in mind as well. Nothing is guaranteed, we do have staff intervention in more physical threads to keep things in check. Just because your character is stronger doesn't mean you are entitled to win a battle, a lot of outcomes stem from your characters stats and also the situation so please don't just assume your actions succeed. Don't powerplay, godmod or autohit. Playing things out is a lot more fun.

TIME STAMP - Upon starting a thread you must post the date, time and specific location somewhere clear and OOC in your thread. Every in game month your character is limited to only two sectors so keep this in mind as well. Use your tracker to keep your posts organized.

ONE PRIMARY THREAD - Every character is allowed to be in one primary thread at a time. This primary thread MUST be identified in your time stamp & title of the thread . Your character can not be in any threads past the date of a primary thread. A primary thread is defined by staff intervention; if a character is on a quest, event or even in an area where something may happen it is considered primary. Use a tracker to help keep tabs on where and when your character is.

LITERATE - CYE is a literate RP. Even though we have no set word count we expect our members to be writing at an intermediate/advanced level. 

RESPECT - Treat others how you want to be treated. As childish as it sounds, even if you don't get along with someone you don't have to go out of your way to be rude.

ONE CHARACTER PER ACCOUNT - This is to keep things organized.

GRAPHICS - Signatures are welcome as long as they look presentable and do not stretch the screen. Every account must have a 100 X 100 avatar before being accepted, this icon must also be a picture of your play by.

PLAY-BYS - Real life celebrities are the only acceptable face claims. No unknown or myspace famous individuals.

DISPLAY NAME - Every account must have a display name as their FIRST LAST name.
